Sermon on "God Loves You More Than You Love Yourself"

Image
God Loves You More Than You Love Yourself Sermon by Pas Kommu Sudhakar (1 June,2020) ROMANS 5:8 NKJ 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. God has proven His love for you. So don't doubt it. What proves that God loves you more than you love yourself? He died in your place -- suffering the punishment for sin that you deserved, so you could go free. God was more willing to suffer Himself than to see you suffer. Of course, the devil constantly tries to get you to doubt that God loves you. That's why you must rely on what the Bible says -- not what your feelings or circumstances may tell you. You may think you don't love yourself -- maybe you think you hate yourself. Even if you don't think too highly of what you have done, you still love yourself in the sense that you desire the best for yourself. You don't desire pain or loss. So it is with God -- He desires good for you -- even mor

Pentecost Sunday Spl Message "The Explosive Power of Pentecost?"

The Explosive Power of Pentecost? Sermon by Pas G.Williams (31 May,2020) "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." — Acts 1:8 When Alfred Nobel discovered an explosive element that was stronger than anything the world had known at the time, he asked a friend and Greek scholar for a word that conveyed the meaning of explosive power. The Greek word was dunamis, and Nobel named his invention "dynamite." Dunamis is the same word that Jesus used when He told His disciples, "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth" ( Acts 1:8 ). In other words, "You shall receive explosive, dynamite power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you." Think about how this power transform

Greater Is He Who Is In You

Greater Is He Who Is In You Sermon by Pas Kommu Sudhakar (30 May,2020) 1 JOHN 4:4 NASB 4 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. There are two vital points in this verse, which is addressed to believers. (If you have not welcomed Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit into your life -- none of this applies to you until you make that decision.) FIRST, God is IN you -- not far off somewhere. Yes, God is in Heaven -- but that is not the only place He is. By the Holy Spirit, God now has His dwelling place in you! You don't have to "try to reach God." He is right there! What you need to do is to cultivate an awareness of His presence. This, along with communication, is the way to develop a closer relationship with God. Knowing that God lives in you, and that He loves you, should banish all fear from your life. Fear of failure should have no place. Fear of what other people think should n

Life Can Be Tough

Life Can Be Tough Sermon by Pas.Kommu Sudhakar (29 May,2020) JOHN 16:33 ICB 33 "I told you these things so that you can have peace in me. In this world you will have trouble. But be brave! I have defeated the world!" Jesus never promised us that everything would be perfect here on earth. He recognized that we would encounter trouble. But His instructions were to be of good cheer -- not to let it get us down. As we encounter difficulties in life, it will help us to remember the big picture. First, God is our Father and has a wonderful eternal plan for us. We are His children and He loves us. Second, this time is but a training period for our future life with God. We are supposed to be learning to trust God and to obey Him. So, every problem we ever face is an opportunity to walk in faith and please God. Every problem is an opportunity to overcome with God's help. How can we expect to receive the blessings promised to the overcomer if we never have anything t

Sermon : Abraham's Blessings Are Yours

Abraham's Blessings Are Yours Sermon by Bro Kommu Dayakar (28 May,2020) GALATIANS 3:13-14 KJV 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians tells us Christ redeemed us, so that the blessing of Abraham might come upon us. What were the blessings Abraham enjoyed? GENESIS 24:1 NIV 1 Abraham was now old and well advanced in years, and the LORD had blessed him in every way. GENESIS 13:2 KJV 2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold. Abraham's blessing also extended to his descendants as they walked with God. GENESIS 25:11 KJV 11 And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahairoi. GENESIS 26:12-13 NIV 12 Isaac planted crops in that la

Hope until the end

Sermon on Hope Until The End

Hope Until The End Sermon by Bro Kommu Dayakar (27 May,2020) HEBREWS 6:11 NKJ 11 And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, This verse tells us we should never give up hope, which is a positive expectation. No matter how many failures you experience, nor how much time has passed -- don't quit expecting a positive outcome in the end. What is the end? It is when you see your desire manifest -- or when you see what should be your ultimate desire manifest, being face-to-face with Jesus Christ. Till then, keep on having an expectation of a positive outcome. Look at a couple of other translations of Hebrews 6:11-12 HEBREWS 6:11-12 NJB 11 Our desire is that every one of you should go on showing the same enthusiasm till the ultimate fulfilment of your hope, 12 never growing careless, but taking as your model those who by their faith and perseverance are heirs of the promises. HEBREWS 6:11-12 CJB 11 However,

Sermon on GOD'S MERCY TO NINEVEH

Image
God's Mercy To Nineveh Sermon by Pas.Kommu Sudhakar (26 May,2020) JONAH 1:2 NKJ 2 "Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me." Remembering what happened with Nineveh will give you a clearer picture of God's mercy. God told Jonah that Nineveh would be destroyed. But when the people of Nineveh changed and repented before God, things changed. JONAH 3:3-10 NKJ 3 So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, a three- day journey in extent. 4 And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day's walk. Then he cried out and said, "Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!" 5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them. 6 Then word came to the king of Nineveh; and he arose from his throne and laid aside his robe, covered himself wi

Sermon about "Does God Hear Sinners?"

Does God Hear Sinners? Sermon by Pas Kommu Sudhakar (25 May,2020) JOHN 9:31 NKJ 31 "Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him. This says God does not hear sinners, but the word "hear" does not always mean just perceiving a sound. It can also include acting on what is heard. God surely listens to every human prayer. Jesus said He knows the number of hairs on our head. Experts say we lose many hairs every day, so the number is always changing. If God makes the effort to know this about every human, surely He listens to all we say, no matter who we are. God must listen to sinners in order to be able to save them when they call on Him. It seems God is pleased when anyone truly calls on Him, whether they are sinner or saint. At least they are turning toward God, acknowledging His existence, and realizing they need His help. True prayer that God responds to is always based on His Word that

Sermon about HARVEST IS COMING

Image
Harvest Is Coming Sermon by Pas.Kommu Sudhakar (24 May,2020) GALATIANS 6:9 NLT 9 So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up. When a farmer has planted seed in the ground, it does not produce a harvest the next day. There is a period of waiting. A time to stand in faith, knowing that the seed will grow and produce as it was created to do. It takes faith for a farmer to bury expensive seed in the ground. But the farmer knows how God's system works. (Even if the farmer does not believe in God, it is still God's system he is using.) You plant the seed, you wait, and then comes a harvest that multiplies what you planted. 2 CORINTHIANS 9:10-11 NLT 10 For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. 11 Yes, you will be enriched in every way so

Sermon about FOCUS ON ETERNITY

Image
Focus On Eternity Sermon by Ps.Kommu Sudhakar (23 May,2020) MATTHEW 6:19-20 NLT 19 "Don't store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. When I was young my family had a wall plaque which said: "Only one life, will soon be past. Only what's done for Christ will last." 1 CORINTHIANS 3:13 NLT 13 But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person's work has any value. If I buy a vehicle for myself it will last only a few years. Then it will rust, wear out, and break down. But if I buy a vehicle for someone that will enable them to preach the Gospel to more people, the blessing and memory of that purchase will last for eternity. This is not to say it is wrong to have nice things for ourselves. (For it d

Sermon about Open Eyes

Image
Open Eyes Sermon by Ps.Kommu Sudhakar (22 May,2020) 2 KINGS 6:17 NKJ 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, "Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. What we see with our physical eyes is not all that's happening. Spiritual forces are active around us. Unless God "opens our eyes" we're in the dark to what's really happening. Of course, it shouldn't be necessary for us to "see" into the spirit realm to believe what God has said, such as that His angels would keep charge of us always to protect us. ACTS 26:18 NKJ 18 'to open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.' When God told Paul what his calling was, the first step men

Sermon about KEEP YOUR WORD

Image
Keep Your Word Sermon by Ps.Kommu Sudhakar (21 May,2020) PROVERBS 11:3 NLT 3 Honesty guides good people; dishonesty destroys treacherous people. God keeps His Word (Titus 1:2), and as His children we are to be like Him (Ephesians 5:1). God is dependable so His people should be dependable. Christians should be known as people of honesty. PROVERBS 12:22 NLT 22 The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in those who tell the truth. Keeping our word should be a priority. Our reputation should be more important to us than our feelings, our finances, or our comfort. We should be like those mentioned in Psalm 15:4 who "keep their promises even when it hurts." People should be able to depend on us. Will we do what we said we would do, even if it costs us? Or will we only do what benefits us? It is really a question of whether we will be selfish or whether we will walk in love. But there is also another important reason to keep our word -- so our faith will work

Sermon about Heaven is our Home

Image
Heaven Is Our Home Sermon by Pastor Kommu Sudhakar (20 May,2020) PHILIPPIANS 3:20  But our homeland is in heaven, where our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, is; and we are looking forward to his return from there. Heaven is a real place. In fact, Heaven is ultimate reality. There are real people there, involved in real activities. But most importantly, our wonderful Lord Jesus Christ and our Father God are there. Sometimes people talk of someone who has departed this life as "having gone to their reward." Heaven is not a reward. There will be rewards given out by God, but going to Heaven is not a reward. Heaven is a return to normal. That's right. Heaven is the way life was supposed to be. Heaven is normal. What we have been experiencing on this sin-infested planet is sub-normal. But part of the Good News is that Jesus will not leave this place, or us, sub-normal forever. One day, maybe soon, Jesus will return from Heaven and change things on Earth back

Sermon about " CURSED BY BLESSINGS? "

Image
Cursed By Blessings? Sermon by Bro.Kommu Bhagavan Das (19 May,2020) PROVERBS 10:22 KJV 22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. What we might consider "blessings" don't always help people. Sometimes they hurt. We don't always know what is best for us. Often, what we think we want turns out to be a big mistake. Consider the case of two girls: one extremely beautiful -- the other quite plain looking. Because of her natural beauty, the one becomes totally self-absorbed. Thinking herself superior, she grows haughty and proud, and, although rich and famous, has no true friends. She selfishly only seeks her own welfare and gives no thought to other's desires or happiness. As she grows older and less attractive, she cannot live with not being the center of attention. Lonely and depressed, she finally takes her life. The other girl, not being endowed with any great natural beauty, is n

Give Attention To My Words

Give Attention To My Words PROVERBS 4:20-22 NKJ 20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; 22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh. Giving attention to God's Word is not as easy as it once was. Today we have a multitude of distractions. Busyness seems to be a disease shared by everyone. We all have more than we can do. Yet . . . God doesn't change. His Word doesn't change. It still says the same thing it did a thousand years ago -- and it will still say the same thing a thousand years from now. "Give attention to my words...." We are confronted with a choice. What is most important? To what shall we give our limited time? God, or....? God makes promises no one else does -- or can. He created, so He knows how things work. Life. Life in its fullness. Life as God intended it to be. And health. Isn't that

Sermon about JESUS WILL NOT REJECT YOU

Image
Jesus Will Not Reject You Sermon by Ps.Kommu Sudhakar (17 May,2020) JOHN 6:37 LB 37 But some will come to me--those the Father has given me-- and I will never, never reject them. People may reject you. But Jesus won't. Jesus died for sinners. He loves them and will help them -- if only they will come to Him. Jesus didn't come to condemn us, but to help us. Think of the Bible account of the woman caught in adultery. JOHN 8:11 NIV 11 "No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin." Religious people will reject you for any number of reasons. The length of your hair, the food you eat, or the clothes you wear are only examples of reasons they may reject you. But Jesus is different. He will accept you just as you are. Many people think they need to clean up their life and get their act together before coming to Jesus. But they have it backwards. They should come to Jesus

Sermon about Don't Wait For Tomorrow

Image
Sermon by Bro.Kommu Dayakar(16 May,2020) PROVERBS 27:1 NIV 1 Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth. Do what you need to do today. Don't wait to receive Jesus. Don't put off doing the will of God. Don't wait to tell someone you love them. JAMES 4:13-15 NIV 13 Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money." 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." You don't know what tomorrow holds -- or even if you will be here tomorrow. Keep your focus on God. Trust in Him, and do His will today. SAY THIS: I will do what God leads me to do today.

Sermon about You are brought with a price.

Image
Sermon by Ps. Kommu Sudhakar(14 May, 2020) A popular speaker started off a seminar by holding up a $20 bill. A crowd of 200 had gathered to hear him speak. He asked, “Who would like this $20 bill?” 200 hands went up. He said, “I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this.” He crumpled the bill up. He then asked, “Who still wants it?” All 200 hands were still raised. “Well,” he replied, “What if I do this?” Then he dropped the bill on the ground and stomped on it with his shoes. He picked it up, and showed it to the crowd. The bill was all crumpled and dirty. “Now who still wants it?” All the hands still went up. “My friends, I have just showed you a very important lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, life crumples us and grinds us into the dirt. We make bad decisions or deal with poor circumstances. We feel worthless. But n

Sermon about Don't Ignore the Poor

Image
Sermon by Ps.Kommu Sudhakar(11 May, 2020) GALATIANS 2:10 NLT 10 Their only suggestion was that we keep on helping the poor, which I have always been eager to do. Not everyone who is poor is that way because of what they have done. Disasters happen. The enormity of the need worldwide can tempt us to just ignore the plight of the poor. We can't help everyone, but that should not keep us from helping someone. PROVERBS 28:27 NLT 27 Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to poverty will be cursed. If you are reading this, then by definition you are not one of the truly poor. You may be poorer than your neighbor, but there are many people poorer than you are. The truly poor cannot read, and struggle for food, which they don't have every day. LUKE 16:19-21 NLT 19 Jesus said, "There was a certain rich man who was splendidly clothed in purple and fine linen and who lived each day in luxury. 20 At his gate lay a poor man named Lazar

Mother's Love - Mothers Day Special Message

Image
Sermon by Bro. Kommu Dayakar (10 May, 2020) One day Thomas Edison came home and gave a paper to his mother. He told her, “My teacher gave this paper to me and told me to only give it to my mother.” His mother’s eyes were tearful as she read the letter out loud to her child, “Your son is a genius. This school is too small for him and doesn’t have enough good teachers for training him. Please teach him yourself.” Many years after Edison’s mother had died, Edison had become one of the greatest inventors of the century. One day he was going through the old closet and he found a folded letter which was given to him by his teacher for his mother. He opened it. The message written on the letter was, “Your son is mentally ill. We can not let him attend our school anymore. He is expelled.” Edison became emotional reading it and then he wrote in his diary, “Thomas Alva Edison was a mentally ill child whose mother turned him into the genius of the century.” Bible says Proverbs.31:31 &quo

Don't Let Your Heart Be Troubled

Sermon by Bro.Kommu Dayakar (9 May, 2020) JOHN 14:1  NIV 1 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. Because Jesus told us to NOT LET our hearts be troubled, it means we can do it. Jesus would never tell us to do something that was impossible for us to do. JOHN 14:27  NIV 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. JOHN 16:33  NIV 33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." Sermon about Evangelism

Image
Sermon by Ps.Kommu Sudhakar(8 May, 2020) Today I am going to talk about two greatly misunderstood topics. Grace and Evangelism. The bible says: Psa 127:2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep. This is one of the best pictures of grace. Rest or sleep. There are one of two ways we can be living our lives either in toil and sorrow, or in rest and contentment. The bible says we are saved by grace, grace in biblical terms is God 100% forgives all our weakness so we can have relationship with him. This relationship enables us to share in God’s nature and abilities. Grace or his unconditional forgiveness should give us peace, we no longer need to fear that we are not doing enough to please God, God is already pleased with us. But what happens to many Christians is they start to feel burdened by responsibility, one of these areas is evangelism, i.e. “What if I don’t share about God enough”, to make matte

Sermon about Anger and Emotions

Image
Sermon by Br.Kommu Dayakar (7 May, 2020) Pro 22:24-25 Make no friendship with a man that is given to anger; And with a wrathful man thou shalt not go: Lest thou learn this ways, And get a snare to thy soul. This does not mean that we should not associate with a person who is angry due to injustice done to them. But rather we should not be in agreement with the attitude that people who have a life style of anger have. Angry people often have cutting words, are critical of others. God wants us to think the best of others, being in agreement with a person who dislikes others is not a good thing. We need to all check our words and make sure they are not words that cut others apart.

Does Jesus Care?

Sermon by Ps.Kommu Sudhakar (6 May, 2020) MARK 4:37-40 NKJ 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. 38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?" 39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. 40 But He said to them, "Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?" All of us have questioned whether God cares for us when we have faced difficulties. It is easy to wonder why things are so tough, if God truly loves us, as the Bible says. What is the answer? Why don't things go better for us, especially when we are trusting in God? Mark 4 gives us a glimpse into how God looks at this. When the disciples thought they were going to sink in the storm -- even though Jesus was on their boat -- they cried out to Him

Sermon About A Perfect Friend

A Perfect Friend Sermon by Ps.Kommu Sudhakar(5 May, 2020) PROVERBS 18:24 RSV 24 There are friends who pretend to be friends, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Would you like to have a perfect friend? A friend who loved you no matter what you did. A friend who would always be there when you needed them. A friend who knew you intimately yet still loved you. A friend who always encouraged you and never put you down. A friend who was smart but not conceited. A friend who had no personal problems to distract them. A friend who was powerful and famous, yet down-to-earth and approachable. A friend who is righteous yet merciful to others. A friend who never makes a mistake. A friend who enjoyed having a good time and sharing a laugh with you. A friend who had the knowledge and ability to help you with everything. A friend who is not too good to wash your feet or clean your toilet, yet talented enough to be the best at everything. A

Sermon about Occult

Sermon by Ps.Kommu Sudhakar(4 May,2020) Rom 1:25 They gave up the truth about God for a lie, and they worshiped God's creation instead of God, who will be praised forever. Amen. Have you ever noticed that occultic book stores seem to glorify the deification of animals. Unicorns, dolphins, dragons, and many other mystical creatures. God says that this is a sign that shows that a person has moved away from the truth of who God is, they begin to worship creation instead of the creator. Don’t put your trust in tarot cards, palm reading, and fortune telling, these people have become deceived and moved away from the true knowledge of God. Gal 5:19-23 People's desires make them give in to immoral ways, filthy thoughts, and shameful deeds. They worship idols, practice witchcraft, hate others, and are hard to get along with. Sermon about Miracles and Healings

Sermon by Ps.Kommu Sudhakar (2 May, 2020) Had a small miracle today. I did say small. Very small. Greater things than this have happened, like healing the sick, and getting really neat guidance from God, but I thought it was kind of cool. A few weeks ago God confirmed to me that he wanted to place a special blessing on his people. So I asked God what the next thing he wanted to do for me was. I thought it would be something major. But God said “Potato Chips”, I asked what brand, he said “Pringals”. I love this brand of chips, so I thought I would get some the next time I went shopping. I was not 100% sure it was God but I still checked out the chips. To my surprise this week they had a big special on Pringals chips, two packs for Rs50, a saving of around Rs25. So I got my chips cheaper. I did say this was a small blessing, but it was cool to get the chips at a reduced price. God’s blessings are not always in the big things, some times the small things count too.
